About Us

Hi there! We’re Angie and Dave.  We are whitewater kayakers and outdoor enthusiasts who traded in “traditional life” for RV life to travel and get outdoors more and explore. We document the highs, the lows, the “wows, the what now?” of full-time RV life.  We share our outdoor adventures as we travel across North America. We live simply, work creatively, and travel enthusiastically in our RV so we can squeeze the most living out of each day! Follow along with us and share our journey.

Our new quilt for the RV arrived just in time for Our new quilt for the RV arrived just in time for colder weather at Thanksgiving! Discovered this Amish farm over 20 plus years ago and formed a friendship with Laura the sweet Amish lady whose has made beautiful quilts for us over the years. We've enjoyed stopping here in Kutztown, Pa as we traveled to Maine and back and feel so thankful for her lovely quilt work and the chance to learn more about her culture and farm. We love handmade items and are thankful for our warm new quilt and the friends like Laura we meet as we RV! The photo of the burgundy quilt is the one she made for our 25th Anniversary....we've been married 36 years now....time flies! Happy Thanksgiving and health and blessings to you all! #pennsylvania #quilts #amishquilts #kutztown #handmade #travelandexplore #farms #grateful #fulltimervers #livingthervlife #itisthelittlethings #rvers #rvlife #happythanksgivng

After 22,000 plus miles and 12 National Parks, num After 22,000 plus miles and 12 National Parks, numerous state parks and more, we ended up with a cracked windshield. Here's our A team in Red Bay, Alabama. Out with the old! In with the new! What a process...! With the new one in, it needs to set up for a full 24 hours. So our home for the night is in the glass replacement shop! A bummer to have to replace the windshield, but interesting to see the process and thankful for all our RV travels! #rvtravel #rvlife #fulltimervers #livingourrvdream #expecttheunexpected #firstclassglass #alabama #windshield #tiffinmotorhomes #goexplore #createyourlife
Had an awesome time at the Albuquerque Internation Had an awesome time at the Albuquerque International Balloon Festival, just an amazing experience! We camped at VIP North. Dry camping, but water and pump out are available. We loved our location, just a few short steps to the entrance gate and great views from the hill. The morning glow and dawn patrol were our favorites, where the glow of the balloon is seen as the balloons are filled and glow against the dark, early morning sky. The hatch green chili burritos were delicious and watching 600 plus balloons in the air at Mass Accession was awesome! Do your best to snag a reservation, it was tough. The festivals website crashed with everyone trying to secure RV reservations and somehow( we kept trying) and miraculously got an RV spot. It was a great experience, if you get a chance next year, go you’ll love it. #albuquerque #albuquerqueballoonfiesta #hotairballoon #hotairballoons #morningglow #albuquerquenm #rvlife #livingourbestlives #fireworks #rvcampingadventure #neverstopexploring #outdoormoretoexplore
Just a little day trip into Santa Fe, New Mexico w Just a little day trip into Santa Fe, New Mexico while we’re here at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Santa Fe is the oldest city in the US dating back to 1607 and is known as the chili capital of the World. Red and green chilies are delicious if you love a little spice like we do! Definitely a “must try” on a burrito, taco or both! A really interesting town worth visiting that is full of architecture, history of Native American tribes, Mexican and Spanish cultures. Full of open air markets filled with textiles, baskets, pottery and jewelry there are numerous shops and art galleries with talented artisans. We also went into the the Cathedral Basilica of St Francis of Assisi, a beautiful cathedral filled with stained glass and intricate architecture. A beautiful place for prayers and meditation. We didn’t have as much time as we’d like to see the historic area of town, but we will definitely come back. #santafe #newmexico #visitnewmexico #chilicapitaloftheworld #greenchili #exploretheusa #daytrip #santafenewmexico #rvlife #rvlifestyle #thecathedralbasilicaofstfrancisofassisi #

Why it's worth getting up early to hike to catch s Why it's worth getting up early to hike to catch sunrise at the Grand Canyon. The first few shots are at Mather Point South Rim and we watched the sunrise from our vantage point in the first photo. Just amazing to see how beautiful Grand Canyon National Park is at different times throughout the morning, day and evening. Several of the last shots are sunset the day before off the rim trail and a sweet older couple took a photo of us both oohing and aawing over the views and color changes. These are precious moments to us, we hope you're creating some of your own. #grandcanyon #grandcanyonnps #grandcanyonsouthrim #grandcanyonsunrise #mountains #mountainviews #arizona #travelandexore #rvlife #rvliving #outdoormoretoexplore #exploretheoutdoors #lovingourrvlife
It's been such a great year of travel and adventur It's been such a great year of travel and adventures. At the last minute we decided to head west again and explore the Grand Canyon. Dave and I are in awe of the views, the grandeur and just how inspiring the Canyon is. We were able to book 5 days in Trailer Village RV which is in the National Park itself. Our 45 foot bus fits easily on our site and it's super convenient to everything. We are just a few minutes walk to the South Rim, bike trails and a great general store. I definitely recommend staying here if you can get a reservation. Full hook ups, great staff and couldn't be closer to the amazing views of the South Rim. Definitely checking out the hiking trails , they look amazing and weather now in late Sept is awesome! No crowds and great weather and the Canyon is epic to see. #grandcanyon #grandcanyonnationalpark #grandcanyonsouthrim #grandcanyonnps #hikethegrandcanyon #takeahike #southrimgrandcanyon #grandcanyontrip #arizona #nationalparkservice #goexplorewander #gorving #fulltimervlife #fulltimervtravel

We stocked up on so many fresh vegetables and fruit....farm fresh produce is one of our favs! We also happened on an old railroad depot and rail cars. After an amazing trip out west this year, we were After an amazing trip out west this year, we were in need of cooler temps, beautiful views and lobster! So we headed to Maine! We rested up at our beautiful campground at Schoodic Woods and took our e-bikes on the Schoodic Loop. The loop is a beautiful paved road that runs along the coast with great views of rocky coastlines, splashing waves and great stops with picnic tables for lunch along the way. Schoodic is the quiet non-touristy side of Acadia and it’s amazing. It’s about an hour plus to the Acadia Visitor, so many people prefer to stay in Bar Harbor which is close to the Acadia NP visitor center. We also stopped in Camden Rockland and Belfast, a few of our favorite mid-coast towns. It’s been great to be here just slowing down and taking it easy and enjoying life’s little moments like a lobster dinner at our site. We like to support the local lobstermen and the Winter Harbor Co-op sells direct and lobsters are so fresh, right off the boat! Hope you’ve all had a great week and take time to slow down and have a great weekend!! #acadianationalpark #schoodicpoint #nationalparks #maine #mainecoast #mainelobster #mainelobstermen #bike #schoodicloop #lectricebikes #tiffinmotorhomes #wearetiffin #maineisgorgeous #nationalparkservice #fulltimerving #rvlife #livinglifetothefullest #outdoormoretoexplore
After an amazing trip out west, we're back in NC t After an amazing trip out west, we're back in NC to see family. Wow, everything's so green after seeing desert brown for so long lol! Once back we visited the small town of Bryson City, NC beyond Asheville and checked out the NC side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With some nice creek side hikes and lovely waterfalls (even without much rain) this area is definitely worth checking out. Bryson City is a quaint town, like you've dropped back in time with a 100 year old family run hardware store, an 87 year old theatre (that's being renovated) and cozy coffee shops, cafes, cheese shops and the old steam railroad. It was refreshing to see the town preserve these old buildings and allow no chain fast food to spoil this sweet town with friendly "folks" as they say in NC. If you get a chance, check it out, we enjoyed the slow pace, the hiking and the history of this area. Next up we'll head to Tennessee to go e-biking! #brysoncity #northcarolina #northcarolinatravel #greatsmokymountainsnationalpark #greatsmokymountains #steamrailway #gohiking #chaseawaterfall #waterfall #hiking #hikingtrails #lovesmalltowns #northcarolinaoutdoors #fulltimervers #motorhomelife #rv #rvlife #nomads #outdoormoretoexplore #rvadventures #gowander
Grateful for our awesome experiences, but sad our Grateful for our awesome experiences, but sad our trip out west to explore National Parks was winding down and not wanting our trip to end, I did a random google search for “national parks near me” and good news, the Great Basin NP came up. The bad news…It’s a 3 hour drive from Utah. ( where we were) to Nevada. But with elevations of 10,000 feet (think cooler temperatures) hiking trails, and caves to explore, we decided to check it out. It’s one of the least visited NP (about 90,000 to 100,000) people each year visit because it is a long, long, boring drive to get there. Nothing but flat land, ranches and free range cows that block the road… but hey, we’re always up for an impromptu adventure. Turned out the Great Basin National Park is pretty cool. The snow on the peaks was beautiful and a nice change from the heat, the hiking trails were nice and cool, a few had snow still on the ground. We also explored the Lehman underground caves that were discovered in the 1880’s. Stalagmites and stalactites were interesting to see. The park is worth a visit if you’re up for the drive. We wish we had more time to spend there. There’s an incredible hike with two pristine lakes at very high elevations, 10,000 feet and up. But we didn’t have enough time to get to that hike or quite enough warmer clothes. Definitely worth a visit, and we never mind going off the beaten path. Take the road less traveled or in this case, the park less visited and see what you discover! #thegreatbasin #thegreatbasinnationalpark #nevada #nationalpark #nationalparkservice #nationalparkgeeks #nationalparksusa #findyourpark #lehmancaves #takerheroadlesstraveled #gooffthebeatenpath #mountains #snowpeak #wheelerpeak #gohike #takeahike #hikingadventures #hikingbuddies #fulltimervtravelers #livingthervlife #outdoormoretoexplore #getoutside #getoutdoors #rvlife
Getting our miles on…on our cool @lectricebikes Getting our miles on…on our cool @lectricebikes in this great local park. Check out this cool historic steam engine from 1894. Pretty awesome that things like this still exist so we can appreciate history and previous technology like a steam engine. And, we love our new Lectric bikes! They are so much fun and thanks to @changinglanesrv for the inspiration and information! I’m amazed how fast they can go, or slow down and enjoy all that’s around us slowly. We just ordered the baskets, so we see some great picnics in our biking future. Who else has one? Now, as we travel we are looking for new bike trails. Can’t wait to take them out more. We love them….#lectricbikes #biking #ebikes #explorewithbikes #trailrides #biketrail #outdoormoretoexplore #fulltimervers #fulltimervtravel
When I realized Mesa Verde NP was just 3 hours dri When I realized Mesa Verde NP was just 3 hours drive away from Moab to Colorado, this trip was a must do for me! I love history and the archeological dig sites and artifacts uncovered are amazing (some can be seen in the museum). The Cliff Dwellings of ancient tribal Pueblo people can be seen on a ranger guided tour, just book early, they sell out fast. We did the Long House tour, I think the hike is under two miles, not bad going in, coming out for me was a little steep and the elevation is 7000-8000 feet. Such an amazing g tour of the Cliff Dwellings, the scenery is incredible and wild cactus blooming on the trail out was all amazing. Any history lover will enjoy this place. This NP is known worldwide as it is the largest archeological site in the US with close to 5000 archeological dig sites. Check it out if you get a chance, it's one of the scenic and historic National Parks we've been to and I can't wait to come back and check out the Cliff House Palace tour. It is larger but was closed on our visit. Go explore! #mesaverde #mesaverdenationalpark #colorado #nationalparkservice #findyourpark #cliffdwellings #rvingtheusa #exploring #history #views #hikingadventures #hikingmesaverde #rvlife #fulltimervers #goseetheworld #outdoormoretoexplore #findanadventure

Arches National Park, the word that comes to mind Arches National Park, the word that comes to mind over and over is spectacular! We stayed in Moab for about two weeks and went in and out of Arches so many times. Don’t forget to secure your timed entry pass. It is definitely helping to minimize traffic and long lines. There are so many hikes to some of the most unique arches and definitely a range of hikes from easy to strenuous. Here I am climbing up into the middle of Turret Arch. Much steeper than it looks…(see second photo) and such an amazing view at the top. Landscape Arch, Double Arch, North and South Windows were some of favorites…but there’s so many incredible rock formations that aren’t arches but amazing examples of geologic happenings too. Check out the photo bomb of the baby that crawled into our photo of Sand Dune Arch. What a cutie…! We loved Arches and while I shouldn’t have a favorite until we see more parks, this one is on the top of our list! #archesnationalpark #arches #moab #moabutah #turretarch #hiking #hiker #hikearchesnationalpark #nps #viewfromthetop #themountainsarecalling #lifeoutdoors #outside #outsideisfree #nevertooold #takeahike #fulltimervers #rv #gorving #outdoormoretoexplore #outdoorliving
As many arches as there are in Arches National Par As many arches as there are in Arches National Park, this arch is not in the National Park. It stands alone off highway 191 just south of Moab. We passed this beautiful arch as we headed to Colorado and had to pull over and check it out. The arch is called Wilson Arch and has a span of 91 feet and a height of 46 feet. We thought it was pretty awesome! As cool as National Parks are, don’t forget to stop and enjoy a little roadside beauty outside the park! #utah #moab #wilsonarch #utahphotography #roadsidebeauty #geology #geologyrocks #loveourrvlife #loveourplanet #livingourrvdream #welovetoexplore #roadtrippin #roadtripusa #outdoormore #outdoormoretoexplore #motorhomelife #nomads #usatravel
